The iPoker Network is now the largest poker network in the world. Only PokerStars tops this juggernaut of a site, and they technically aren’t a poker network. The site has gone from strength to strength over the years and they are one of very few sites to have seen an upturn in traffic between 2012 and 2103. The sheer number of skins on the site shows how many poker rooms like their software, but not only that, they include some of the most reputable gambling companies in the world. For a list of the top sites on iPoker please see our table below.
One of the reasons behind the success of iPoker is there affiliation with Playtech who have been the mastermind to some of the best online casino games for decades now. Playtech have managed to design their software in way which can be fully customisable for each poker room or even each player. You can flick between 2D and 3D graphics and make it as simple or as brash as you like.
About The iPoker Network
Whilst their insertion to the market was relatively late – 2004 – in comparison to the other leading poker networks, they have quickly, and easily, managed to climb to the top of the pile. The company was never that reliant on US based players, and whilst yes, the removal of US based players on the network without doubt had an effect; it hasn’t had the negative impact that some network have felt.
Traffic on the site is excellent and averages around 8,000 cash game players alone (not including tournaments and sit and go’s); only PokerStars tops this number in the current climate. The only downside to the network is that it’s renowned for its games being on the tougher side, often down to the generous bonuses and cash back rewards that are in place network-wide.
The network has always had a good array of poker games and it currently has more than it’s ever had including no limit, pot limite and fixed limit Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud and Razz.
Another good feature about the network is that it includes three types of currencies including GBP, USD and EUR. In fact, it’s one of the few networks now where USD tables probably play understudy to that of GBP and EUR tables.
iPoker Software Features
The software is probably the most outstanding feature on the iPoker network. It’s super editable and runs really quickly making it ideal for all kinds of poker players to get the table looking just right. On top of that they include a mini-view feature which allows players to make tables smaller in an effort to fit more on screen.
IPokers range of games is probably the largest which you are going to find in terms of buy ins. Whilst you can start tournament from just a few pence, they range right up to the four figure amount and this also bears true for cash tables with games running right up to 200/400 for the higher rollers.
